Yogyakarta, 30 May 2023 – Tuesday (30/5) Gadjah Mada University received a visit from delegation from Africasia Investment & Resource Pte Ltd (AIR), Singapore represented by Madam May Xiao Mei Gao as Chairperson and Legal Representative AIR in the Leadership Meeting Room, UGM Central Building.
This visit was carried out in the framework of the signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and discussion of potential cooperation between the two institutions. AIR together with the UGM Faculty of Agriculture mainly discussed opportunities for collaboration in research and development of agricultural commodities with the UGM Faculty of Agriculture Team.
This activity was also attended by the Head of the Department at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM and the Head of the Agrotechnology Innovation Center (PIAT). Head of the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Rani Agustina Wulandari, S.P., M.P., Ph.D. also attended as a representative from the Department of Agricultural Cultivation.
The scope of cooperation activities listed in the memorandum of understanding, namely the possibility of cooperation related to the exchange of students, professors, and researchers; implementation of research collaborations; joint lectures, conferences, seminars and symposiums; exchange of faculty guests to increase the benefits and efficiency of institutional management; exchange of academic information and materials; and registration of beneficial innovations.
