Yogyakarta, 30 May 2023 – Tuesday (30/5) Gadjah Mada University received a visit from delegation from Africasia Investment & Resource Pte Ltd (AIR), Singapore represented by Madam May Xiao Mei Gao as Chairperson and Legal Representative AIR in the Leadership Meeting Room, UGM Central Building.

This visit was carried out in the framework of the signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and discussion of potential cooperation between the two institutions. Researchers from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) have assembled rice varieties that are high-yielding and adapt to climate change. This rice variety is called “Amphibious” Gamagora rice. “The Gamagora Amphibious Rice is UGM’s innovation for Indonesia,” said UGM Chancellor, Prof. Ir.
